  1. The reference in this article to “failing” a home inspection is wrong and misleading to home buyers, especially first time home buyers. A home inspection is not pass or fail. Every home will have issues. A home does not fail because it needs a new roof or has a foundation issue. It is up to the buyer to determine what their threshold for incoming expenses are. If a buyer is getting a great deal, then perhaps they can financially handle replacing the roof or the furnace. Home buyers should know be made aware that every house has issues. Your pass/fail statement is misleading.
