The AON Group, an insurance and global risk management firm based in Miami, Florida, has announced it has renewed its lease on 38,000 square feet of offices at the Brickell Bay Office Tower, in what is the Brickell Bay office market’s largest transaction so far this year.

Chris Coots of CB Richard Ellis represented AON Group during contractual negotiations, while Brickell Bay Office Tower’s vice president Christian Driussi represented the building.

The new deal means that AON Group retains their status as the anchor tenant in the Brickell Bay Office Tower, a position it has held for over 13 years already.

The AON Group’s transaction is just the latest in a string of renewals and new leases in the Brickell Bay Office Tower that has seen it retain an overall occupancy rate of 91%, with deals totaling over 135,000 sq. feet of rented office space in what has been a busy year of transactions for the building’s operators. Amongst the tenants now resident in the building are the British Consulate, Right Space Management, Vector Global Wealth Management Group, ., Trans American Equity Partners, L.P., Hiscox Inc., Syntel, Inc., Lustrous Metals, Bancard financial Services, LLC, and the Hackett Group.

Christian Driussi had this to say about the transaction:

"While Brickell Bay Office Tower has succeeded at drawing new users amidst market volatility, we emphasize the importance of tenant renewals above all else. AON's decision to remain in place sends a strong message that a well-managed building boasting stable ownership and a premium location can compete directly for blue chip tenants with newer assets in the market. This is a 'big win' for our team."

A whole host of factors have helped to boost the Brickell Bay Office Tower’s occupancy rate and ensure that tenants regularly renew their leases, said Driussi, including its wonderful views of Biscayne Bay, its committed ownership team and the luxury amenities on offer.

The Brickell Bay Office Tower is located in the heart of the Brickell Bay Financial District in Miami, at 1001 Brickell Bay Drive, offering office floor plates that range from just over 10,000 sq. feet to over 18,000 sq. feet. Additional luxury amenities include covered parking facilities, a bank and an ATM on site, a café and 24 hour security.
