Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 14, 2016 Brill Garrett, the wife of Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has invested in a Dallas based real estate technology startup. She will join the advisory board of Terra App Technologies Inc. and assist with strategic partnerships. Mrs. Garrett adds to the growing list of women entrepreneurs and business leaders that are impacting the technology industry in Dallas and around the country. The news of Brill Garrett’s involvement with the company was announced last Wednesday at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center in Downtown Dallas.

The DEC hosts a weekly event for startups, 1Million Cups, where hopeful startups get a chance to pitch their companies to investors, business leaders and other members of the startup community. “Brill will add a wealth of knowledge and insight that helps us navigate some of the challenges with scaling our company”, says Michael Smith, Co-founder at Terra.

The Dallas startup community has largely lacked the national notoriety of other cities such as Austin and Silicon Valley, but should begin to gain recognition if influential people like Brill Garrett continue to support local efforts by startup companies. Brill Garrett is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard Law School and a very popular figure around the Dallas/Fort Worth community.

Terra is a smartphone app used to coordinate property services for Airbnb Hosts & recently relocated homeowners. Terra looks to gain market share in the $100 Billion a year property management space and simplify the process of booking a skilled trade professional for maintenance and routine upkeep to a consumer’s primary residence and investment properties.

The company was founded in 2014 by Kedreon Cole (@kedreoncole), a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Michael Smith, an SMU alumnus. The company plans to target young, creative class professionals that have recently relocated or manage investment properties. The Terra App is available for download in the Apple App Store by searching "lawn service app".
