Facebook & Shutterstock Partner Up To Provide Free Images For Advertisers

By Joe Heath | August 26, 2013

One of the many challenges real estate agents face when creating and building a profitable website is choosing a stock image provider that fits all your needs and wants for the photos you want to appear throughout your website. Last month, we provided a list of the 7 Best Stock Photography Websites currently available to consumers and real estate agents with a blog or website; and this month, it appears that one of the companies mentioned—Shutterstock—is continuing to make headlines.

According to a recent article from Mashable, Facebook and Shutterstock have come to terms on an arrangement that will allow businesses to create an attractive Facebook ad using millions of stock images from Shutterstock—for free.

We’ve all seen the numerous Facebook adverts taking up the entire right hand side of your News Feed and in an attempt to give Facebook users, advertisers, and Facebook itself a better presentation, providing over 25 million high-resolution images that advertisers can use should ideally increase advertisers’ conversion rate, as well as entice more businesses to start using Facebook for advertising.

Prior to the Shutterstock-Facebook partnership, business and individuals using Facebook to advertise were completely responsible providing their own images, which in many cases, were lower quality. Now, with millions of new, fresh images to choose from, being able to find the perfect looking photo for your Facebook advertisement just became much easier and available all on the same platform. So if you haven't yet tried Facebook for running an ad for your real estate business, now may be a great time to give it a shot.
