Self Photographing Smart Mirror Launches on Kickstarter

By Allison Halliday | January 26, 2016

There’s little doubt that taking selfies has become one of America’s, if not the world’s favorite pastimes. Now a new project is launching on Kickstarter which is the world’s first self-photographing Smart Mirror.

Around 1 million selfies are posted online each day, and EIFLE believes it’s time that the quality of self-portraits was improved so it is reinventing the selfie, making hands-free self-portraits possible with the launch of the EIFLE S-Smart Mirror on Kick starter.

This new technology will give people the ability to ‘EIFLE it’ instead of merely taking a selfie. The aim of this new technology is to revolutionise social photo sharing by enabling people to have the freedom to pose and to take hands-free self-portraits using the EIFLE app at any distance in front of the smart mirror. Applications include taking EIFLE’s in hotel rooms, in fitness clubs, on vacation and at family gatherings or simply when you are just at home with friends.

Leonard Adams, EIFLE CEO says “The first thing almost everyone does these days when they’re having a great time with friends, or experiencing a new exciting place, or enjoying a big event, is to take a selfie. Studies show it’s the feeling of instant confidence that drives people to capture moments and memories. Now you can ‘EIFLE it’ in front of our smart mirror without your arm in the shot and without an unbecoming distorted result.”

By using EIFLE’s patent pending technology and complete product line, double chins, bright flashes, awkward poses and oversized heads are all eliminated. These are all poor results that can with come from shooting at arm’s length. Now people will be able to pose in front of a smart mirror in exactly the same way they would pose for a normal photograph. EIFLE is able to take the exact image seen in the mirror, eliminating guesswork.

The technology works due to the use of a pro grade camera and integrated hardware within the stylish full-length mirror. This is paired with EIFLE’s mobile app that controls the smart mirror. Using this technology provides the ability to take instantly shareable and high quality full-length self-portraits that capture the exact image seen in the mirror. This eliminates the need for those annoying selfie-sticks and there are numerous benefits from using ELFIE. It is now available for pre-order on Kickstarter.

EIFLE is a tech company based in New York City and the company is introducing three models, each of which is engineered to serve a separate specialty purpose. Over the next three years, the aim is for EIFLE to capture 6 to 8% of the millennial, self-portrait market.
