Report: Foreclosures Linked to Rising Crime Levels



The suspicion that the number of foreclosures in a neighborhood can be correlated with an increase in crime has been around for some time, but according to a recent report the connection would seem to be even stronger than first thought.

RealtyTrac: Foreclosure Crisis “Well Past It’s Peak”



There’s still some way to go but all the signs are that the foreclosure crisis is finally coming to an end. Latest figures from RealtyTrac show that foreclosure filings have continued their downward trend, falling to the lowest level since April 2007 at the end of last month.

RealtyTrac Reports Foreclosure Filings Down Again



The number of foreclosures filed during the first quarter of 2012 has dropped by 2% on the previous quarter, and by 16% from the same period 12 months ago, according to a new report just released by Realty Trac.

January saw the number of foreclosures on the market increase once again, as banks steadfastly work through the huge number of backlogs which resulted from highly publicized cases of foreclosure abuse, according to the latest stats from RealtyTrac.
