According to The Move Channel, more buyers are looking towards Germany for property. Although Spain was still the most popular destination in August, largely due to the huge number of distressed properties on the market, Germany jumped 6 places to enter The Move Channel.com’s top 10.

According to an article in The Local, foreign investors have been snapping up prefabricated apartment blocks in Germany. At first glance it might be difficult to see the attraction as they have plain concrete exteriors and low ceilings, and at best can only be described as drab.

Allianz and Others Looks to Expand Portfolio Possibilities



In investment news from Europe, retail property looks like the next boom territory for investors on the continent. According to a recent Jones Lang LaSalle survey, retail investment in 2010 accounted for at least 28 percent of the total commercial property sector. And, Allianz Real Estate, a unit of German insurer Allianz SE, is actually broadcasting they intend investing €11 billion more.
