Pending home sales decline 2.5% in January



Following the highest average year for the index in nearly a decade, pending home sales declined to begin 2016 but remained slightly higher than a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors

MRIS data showed that the Washington region posted its highest monthly and yearly increase in pending sales in more than a decade, with 3,198 purchase contracts signed in January. Was this just luck? Or, is someone in DC actually working for their dinner?
