The Best Locations in Minnesota to Buy Real Estate

By Jamie Richardson | November 7, 2017

The Twin Cities of Minnesota, St. Paul and Minneapolis, are large and full of things to do. If you are looking to live near a city without living in a city, there are plenty of suburbs nearby. Minneapolis real estate is available through the entire Twin Cities region, with a variety of styles and locations. From Chanhassen to Woodbury, here are three of the best locations in Minnesota to buy real estate.

Eden Prairie
Eden Prairie is a more expensive place to live, located about seventeen miles away from Minneapolis. Despite the higher cost, life in Eden Prairie seems to be worth it to many people. Although the houses are expensive, most people in Eden Prairie make quite a bit of money. They also seem to be very highly educated, with an excellent school system. Several national polls have listed Eden Prairie as one of the best places to live, because of the economy, the lovely homes, and the very low unemployment rate. Some neighborhoods in Eden Prairie also offer homes with solar paneling and other modern, environmentally friendly features. All together, Eden Prairie is an excellent location to buy property.

Woodbury
While Woodbury is another suburb that can be a little expensive, there are neighborhoods that offer a cheaper, short-term rent option. Woodbury made this and other lists partially because there has been a regular increase in population recently, which seems to suggest that living in Woodbury is worth the cost. There are over two-thousand acres of parks, countless miles of trails, and the Bielenberg Sports Center, which has all the athletic equipment that you could want. It is the perfect place to live if you appreciate the great outdoors, and easy access to them is important to you in choosing a place to live. Woodbury is also a city with a strong public education system and a fairly low unemployment rate. If you are looking for a place in Minnesota near the Twin Cities and the great outdoors, Woodbury is worth looking into.

Chanhassen
Like Eden Prairie and Woodbury, Chanhassen can be a little pricey. Like the other two cities, however, it is located near Minneapolis and has an abundance of places to enjoy the great outdoors. With over 30 parks, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, and just shy of 100 miles of trails, there is plenty to do. There is also a thriving educational system, with a recent grant giving thousands to technology programs in the classroom. Chanhassen has also worked to make the lives of their commuters easier. Trying to maintain an appeal to new homeowners, Chanhassen is working to improve itself every day. With festivals and the nearby city, Chanhassen is one of the best places in Minnesota to live.

Although it can be expensive to live in the suburbs of the Twin Cities, many reports and residents agree that it is worth it. From the outdoor opportunities to the focus on education, there are many wonderful places to live and work in Minnesota. Whether for your home or your business, Eden Prairie, Woodbury, and Chanhassen should definitely be on your list of places to check out.
