Introducing Zapelo, the Swiss-Army Knife for real estate pros

By Mike Wheatley | August 4, 2015

Real estate pros just love to make use of technology to organize their businesses and ultimately sell more homes, but things can quickly get confusing. What with separate tools for email, calendars, documents, CRM, lead generation, e-signatures, transaction management and a million other tasks, it's a wonder that real estate pros get any work done at all. Wouldn't it be great if there was some kind of one-size-fits-all solution that could do all of the above and more?

Zapelo certainly thinks so, and to hammer that point home it's just gone and released the industry's first cloud-based, wholly integrated and end-to-end mobile real estate management system.

Jack Berube, CEO of Zapelo, describes the platform as a beiing a mix of Dropbox, Dotloop, Gmail, MailChimp, REESIO and Top Producer, all popular tools for real estate pros in their own right. Only Zapelo aggregates them all into one solution that's “affordable for any brokerage”.

Simple to use and fully integrated, Zapelo offers functions including a Calendar, CRM, document storage, email, integrated electronic signatures, lead generation, task tracking, transaction management and workflow, and everything is based in the cloud.

"It's the first system that truly manages the real estate sales funnel from top-to-bottom," Berube says. "Everyone is paying for technology no one is really using. For the technology you actually use, most brokerages will subscribe to multiple products, log in and out of various systems, and re-enter the same damn data again and again. It's nuts”.

Zapelo launched yesterday at an industry event in San Francisco, where Rhonda Duffy, the number one listing agent in both Georgia and the U.S., described it as being “the Swiss-Army Knife” of real estate tech.

"Vendors keep pushing single apps or bloated software with features that agents will never use," Duffy said. "Zapelo has created a 'right-sized' technology to include only the features a broker or team needs to manage their real estate pipeline."

According to Duffy, Zapelo makes real estate management simple and affordable for the first time, and says the tool is a solution that every single agent just has to have.

"Agents don't have time to sit in a training class to learn every new product and most agents can't afford to pay $30 to $100 a month for a dozen different services. Zapelo solves both of these problems."

Zapelo is launching in beta today, and will first be available to real estate brokerages, teams and agents. There is a one-time setup fee involved for brokerages, but this includes their agency branding. Brokerages pay between $199 and $500 per month depending on the features they want, while individual agent accounts cost $49 a month.
