Homes that come with energy-efficient features and a sustainable design are growing in popularity with an increasing number of buyers. As such, housing designers and architects believe that the construction of homes that are more resilient and sustainable is one of the top housing design trends this year.
Builders are responding by building new homes with EnergyStar windows and appliances, and programmable thermostats, among other features. They're also turning to use more sustainable building materials, keeping mind mind climate concerns.
NAR Research wants to celebrate this new trend towards 'green' homes and also give a shout to the fact that today is St. Patrick's Day. As such, it's just produced this infographic highlighting the benefits of living in an energy-efficient home.
NAR Research compiled the infographic using data from the NAR's latest Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends report.
