RE/MAX Debuts booj Function at R4 Conference This Week

By Phil Butler | February 24, 2019

RE/MAX says it's making good on its promise to roll out proprietary end-to-end real estate technology. Agents and other industry stakeholders will get to try out the all-new RE/MAX booj platform at the R4 Conference beginning tomorrow at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

According to the buzz from the upcoming R4, attendees will get to test-drive data-powered CRM, view new agent website templates, experiment with email marketing campaigns, and check out the new platform’s task management functionality. According to the crowd at this year's R4 can expect:

  • Innovation Station: Hands-on workshops for test driving booj
  • Tech Product Stations: A one-on-one with agents on tech
  • RU Stage Mini Sessions: Quick hit presentations of the new tools
  • and other booj-specific sessions

This time last year, RE/MAX acquired the award-winning Colorado web-design and tech company booj, in order to be able to offer its own
fit the broker technologies in the same way competitor Keller Williams does. For those unfamiliar, last year Keller Williams acquired Philadelphia-based startup SmarterAgent, a company that helps agents create their own branded apps, and that has a platform that connects more than 650 multiple listing services. Last February, RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos said:

“In collaboration with booj, our membership and other strategic partners, we will deliver the best technology to the world’s most productive real estate network. The future of global real estate is RE/MAX.”

Apparently, Contos and his team a booj are ready to unveil just such a competitive edge for agents. RE/MAX reported $50.8 million revenue in the fourth quarter of 2018, a year-over-year 4.8 percent. If the booj project and products turn out at R4, the company will be keeping promises on top of growth promises. The video below introduces some of the key team members and departments that power booj technologies.

It will be interesting to see these new technologies made by the industry's leading tech gurus, at work helping agents. Just how RE/MAX's effort stacks up against Keller Williams and the Compass startup's game-changing technological offer.

I'll be evaluating these technologies this coming month in order to give agents the lowdown on true functionality. Stay tuned.
