If buying a house is expensive it follows that renting a house is cheap. so just rent.

Anyone taking out a mortgage for 95% of their home is taking on a huge risk but it's their decision.

The fact that the market is overextended (in your opinion) does not mean that it won't keep going up. Demand and supply makes the market, not the natural balance created by incomes, employment levels and population and demographic changes.

There is no market in the world that is in equilibrium, they are all in bubbles or under-subscribed to a certain extent. Find out what these property investors are taking their money out off in order to buy their houses, then buy that!

Nice piece but buyer behaviour, fashions and a lack of genuine investment alternatives for the public must be taken into account.
