Local marketplace letgo adds real estate listings to its mobile app

Local marketplace application letgo is getting into real estate. The company has announced that users can now browse and list housing and other property across the country.

The company said this new functionality is rolling out gradually across the marketplace and will be available to all users in the U.S. by the end of the month.

letg offers a mobile platform that allows users to buy and sell all manner of products locally. Its marketplace is filled with everything from electronics, cars and collectibles to housing, clothing and furniture. It's a free application that makes it easy to list what you don’t need and find great deals nearby on anything you do.

The addition of real estate listings marks a significant expansion to what has rapidly become one of the most popular apps of its kind. Last fall, the company disclosed that its app had passed 75 million downloads in the U.S. and elsewhere, and that users had already posted more than 200 million secondhand listings, from cars to video games, since it launched in 2015. comScore recently ranked letgo second among the fastest growing apps in America since its inception.

letgo’s intuitive design makes browsing and listing housing and other types of property simple. Users quickly snap a photo and select a few key details to post a space for rent or sale. They can add more photos and details to their listing any time with just a few taps. Users can also chat instantly with each other in the app and easily filter local listings to find exactly what they need. As always, letgo users can view each other’s profiles, ratings and reviews to learn more about who they are chatting with and what others have said about them.
