3 tips to get more sales leads from your commercial real estate website

Your commercial real estate website exists for two reasons – first, it’s there to portray your brand’s image, and second, it’s supposed to help your grow your business. The main purpose of your website in the second respect is to convert site visitors into sales leads, so if the metrics show visitors are looking and leaving (a high bounce rate) it’s time to have a rethink about what can be done to stop this.

Go for a clean design

Your website is often the first impression customers will have of your business and your brand, so you need to make a good impact.  You need a professional commercial real estate web design. Many users are lazy and unlikely to scroll down or search for what they need. So, remove unnecessary information and get ride of all the clutter and fancy graphics or adverts. Choose an easily readable font and also buy some high quality images that represent your brand well. A video on the landing page can boost conversion rates by as much as 80 percent, but only if it’s slick and reflects your brand and message well.

Create trust

User trust means a customer chooses to explore your CRE brand because the information is relevant to their needs, it’s fast and easy to find, and they aren’t bombarded with a hard sell. The design of your site should therefore aim to build user trust on every page.

The first step is with a mobile responsive design. More Internet users search for relevant information on their mobile devices versus a desktop. A slow loading website that does not display well on a mobile device turns users away. That customer is unlikely to revisit the website ever again. Create a design that automatically sizes to the device, loads quickly, and auto-expands content as users scroll. Provide previews or excerpts of key content that will drive the user further into the conversion process. Every page should have a specific title and the menu must follow a logical hierarchy. Visitors should be able to find what they need within three clicks of landing on your website. If they can’t find what they need, the visitors will leave.

Increasing conversions

Every single aspect of your website’s design should be focused on turning visitors into a lead. They are searching for information about commercial real estate, and so what you need is a call to action on every single page. You can highlight this by making the call to action a contrasting color in order for it to stand out. You don’t need the same call to action on each page either. You can have different options, such as a “subscribe” button for your newsletter, a link to the “contact us” page or “FAQ” page, or offer some kind of PDF download with more detailed information. You can even have a live chat window pop-up (but only once, and make it small, try not to annoy visitors). What you’re after is the vistor’s contact details, so you can follow up at a later date.
