Building a Strong Online Brand as a Realtor

The internet has truly changed the way everyone operates. From connecting through email to hosting a live broadcast of a concert, so many people consume the internet in different ways. This sentiment also holds true for those who are working within the realms of brand building. If you are a realtor, it’s an excellent idea to use the internet to your advantage. There are many realtors who prefer the old-school approach of traditional advertising methods. However, there are plenty of Millennials who have embraced the power of the digital world to build their brands. As a realtor, you should do the same. Consider the following components in order to build a strong brand online.

Considering the Target Audience
Typically, your target audience looks a lot like you. People love to identify a similar trait with the person they’re doing business with. It’s not the determining factor, but it helps to relate to those who you’d like to do business with. When you’re able to define your target audience, it’ll help you with your marketing efforts. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that you’d like to do business with anyone who wants to buy a house. That’s too broad of an audience. Instead, get really specific. An example of a targeted audience would be current homeowners who have kids and want to upgrade to larger homes. This means that they’re not first-time home buyers. You can even sell them on the idea of keeping their first home as an investment property as they upgrade to a larger home. Another example of a targeted audience might be college graduates who want to make the investment in their first affordable home. As you define your target audience, this will change the way you approach the concept of delivering value to the desired client.

Developing a Social Media Presence
Develop a strong social media presence that directly speaks to your value that you offer to the marketplace. It’s also wise to show the closings and the results you’re able to achieve within your business. Make sure that customer service is one of your top priorities. As your clients have excellent experiences with you, ask them to provide testimonials. For many realtors, testimonials and referrals are the greatest ways to keep the business moving forward. Once you’ve defined your target audience, it’s time to focus on ways to build up your messaging. If you’re promoting your services to first-time home buyers who have been in the working world for two or three years, you can show them the benefits of buying a home versus renting. You can talk about the fears that many first-time home buyers have. You can create messaging that dispels the myths first-time home buyers hear about. Look at each social media post as a way to establish credibility with a first-time buyer.

Capturing Email Addresses
In addition to maintaining a social media presence, it’s very wise to develop an active website. Regularly update the website with important information that’s relevant to your company. Make sure that you provide a pop-up button that allows a visitor to put in their email address. Once they’ve provided their email address, they’ll be on your email list and you’ll be able to stay in touch with them in the future. Share more about what’s happening within your business, houses that are available for sale and more.

Coordinating Face-to-Face Meetings
As a realtor, you need to make sure you develop a sense of reliability with your client. A home purchase is one of the largest purchases a person will ever make in their lifetime. Face-to-face meetings allow you to connect with your client, answer any questions they might have and demonstrate your ability to advocate for their best interest. Yes, there are many people who would prefer to communicate through text messages and emails. However, don’t miss the value of face-to-face communication within the fast-paced lifestyles people lead.

Providing Value
When you’re getting results, others will take notice. Whether it’s other realtors or potential home buyers, your visibility will naturally increase when you’re successful. Knowing this, it’s a good idea to continue to find ways to provide value. For realtors who are wanting similar results, you can create an informative manual that shares a lot of your secrets to success. Granted, no one is you and that is your superpower. So, it’s okay to share a lot of great tips and tricks. You don’t have to give away everything. Offer the manual for sale on your website. You can use a dropshipping method to distribute the book. Read ebooks about dropshipping to get a better understanding of how this system works to your advantage. It’s another way to earn an income without having to do the heavy lifting involved with shipping, packaging and more. Once the book is written, you can sell it to the masses and provide value.
