Vault.com recently released its Law Practice Area Rankings for 2017, offering deeper insight into the legal industry. The report examines how associates rate peer firms in areas such as real estate law.

Associates from around the country voted for Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson as the strongest firm for real estate law. This is the seventh consecutive year the firm has been named number one. According to survey respondents, Fried Frank was viewed as being “very prestigious” and is a “real estate powerhouse” and the “best in real estate.”

Matt Moody, Law Editor at Vault said “It’s not surprising that Fried Frank tops our real estate rankings. The firm is involved in some of the largest real estate deals in the country. In the last year alone, Fried Frank attorneys counseled on the acquisition of 11 Madison Avenue, the largest single building deal in New York City history, and on the Hudson Yards project, the largest private real estate development in US history.”

Vault Practice Area Rankings are determined by the votes of more than 18,000 associates. The associates are asked to vote for up to 3 firms they consider strongest in their own practice area, but they are not allowed to vote for their own firm. Vault’s rankings are for the firms that received the highest percentage of votes from the respondents in this survey.

The top 10 law firms for real estate law are:
1.      Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson
