Curb Call aims to be the Uber for real estate viewings

A new Uber-inspired mobile app called Curb Call is helping to connect real estate agents with clients in close proximity to them. Currently available on iOS devices, the Curb Call app is popular with both brokerages and listing services, and is completely free for consumers to download and use.

The way it works is simple – Curb Call provides a list of all the real estate agents located within a specified area, and consumers simply browse through the list, reviewing feedback information for each agent. Once the consumer selects an agent, Curb Call sends a message to the agent, who can then accept or decline the new client. If they choose to accept, the agent will receive the client’s full contact information, and can immediately schedule home viewings and more.

A number of prominent real estate firms are already using Curb Call with some success. For example, Realty One Group, which ranks as one of the top seven U.S. real estate brokerages in terms of dollar sales volume, has used Curb Call since 2013. Kuba Jewgieniew, CEO and founder of Realty One Group, said Curb Call is an exceptional tool that benefits his company’s agents.

Seth Siegler, CEO of Curb Call Technologies, told Real Estate Tech News that the company was using exclusivity as a selling point of its app, which means it’s offered to select agents in specific areas on an exclusive basis. Going forward though, Curb Call aims to remove this exclusivity feature and make the app available to all.

The app is currently only available on iOS, but Siegler said an Android version will be released later this year.
