Canadian Real Estate Prices Rise at Slower Rate

Latest statistics released by the MLS® Home Price Index, the chief sales index in Canada, showed prices rose in March, year on year, but gains have been slowing. The sales increase seen in March was the slowest since June 2011, rising by just 5.1% compared to March of the previous year.

TREB Fights against Giving More Online Listings Information

The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has launched a campaign against Canada’s Competition Bureau against its plan to release more personal information online. This information would include the names and addresses of home sellers, and TREB says it is an invasion of privacy that could result in more cases of fraud.
