A Third of British Tourists Prefer Spain, Report Says

By Tavis J. Hampton | January 23, 2012

One in three tourists from the UK prefer to take their vacations in hot tourist spots throughout Spain, according to a report released by airline Jet2.com and holiday specialist Jet2holidays. For property managers and home sellers in Spain, that means more opportunities to sell and lease vacation homes to wealthy British travelers.

Lagunas Del Sol

The report, “What's Hot in 2012”, aggregated research from over 1000 British vacationers and revealed that 28% of them consider taking a vacation as vital to their health, and 1 in 3 of them will choose a spot on the Iberian peninsula to catch some sun. Among the top sites for British vacationers are Malaga, located in the autonomous community of Andalusia, and Palma de Mallorca, located on the island of Majorca in the Mediterranean Sea.

The tourism markets of Spain benefit tremendously from British visitors. That includes hotel property managers as well property owners looking to sell their beautiful dwellings to vacationers in need of summer homes.

Many foreign buyers will be looking to the famous Costa Blanca to make property purchases. Among the Costa Blanca hot spots are the Lagunas Del Sol and Calpesol developments. Lagunas Del Sol features 2 and 3 bedroom townhomes in a rural part of Rojales, built in a natural setting. Calpesol features 2 and 3 bedroom properties with sun-roofed terraces, gardens, and private parking.
