Fannie Mae's Michael Williams: Clueless in San Diego

Fannie Mae President and CEO Michael J. Williams was at the University of San Diego at an annual discussion on the future of home lending. At the top of his agenda, the Obama Administration's plans to eliminate Fannie Mae altogether - but some side stepping was involved. However slippery Williams and other officials have become, it's clear lending may never be the same again.

Nevada Non-Profit Offers to Help Homeowners Pay Mortgages

A new program called Nevada's Hardest Hit Funds, sponsored a non-profit organization, will help struggling homeowners in Clark County pay their mortgages with up to $500 a month for six months. They will send the money directly to the mortgages companies on behalf of the homeowners.

HPI and Captex to Build 1,000 Apartments in Texas

Central Texas will soon have 1,000 new apartments, thanks to the new joint venture initiated by HPI Real Estate Services and Captex Development Company. The two companies will collaborate on four projects over the course of two to three years, building apartments under the name HPI Residential.
