Connecting Social Media & Gmail Using Smartr™ Inbox

Smartr™ Inbox is nothing new but if you have a Gmail or Outlook e-mail account and aren’t using it, you’re missing out. Available for Windows/Mac, Firefox 4+, Chrome, and Safari, Smartr™ Inbox is a free, easy to install browser plugin that connects your Facebook , Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts to your e-mail, as well as organize your inbox to provide you with information regarding how and when you communicate with each of your contacts.

Once the plugin is installed and you’ve setup a Xobni account, the first thing you’ll want to do is connect it to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Once it’s connected, status updates, tweets, and all other social media activity for everyone you follow and frequently e-mail will now appear in a sidebar within your inbox.

And while it’s nice to have your social media accounts and e-mail synchronized all in one place, perhaps the most convenient aspect of the Smartr™ Inbox is its ability to organize all your e-mails by contact person. For example, once you click on a contact in your address book, Smartr will automatically populate to show every e-mail you’ve previously sent or received from that particular person, as well as any recent Facebook and Twitter activity from that person.

So in case you need to go back and check information that was sent in an earlier e-mail or posted on a social media account, Smartr makes scanning through these old e-mails and social media posts quick and easy. Any sort of past communication you’ve had with all your contacts is arranged in a convenient and easy-to-sort through list that allows you to spend less time searching for information and more time helping your clients and co-workers and conversing with friends and family members.

So as a busy real estate agent who is corresponding with past clients and countless new leads each and every day, having an e-mail plugin that automatically sorts your e-mails, organizes contact communication, and connects you through social media should be a huge time-saver and allow you to spend more time doing what you do best—selling homes.

To learn more about Smartr or to add the browers plugin to your Gmail or Outlook account, check out Zobni’s website here.
