Opportunities to buy new ski property in Austria’s picturesque Tyrol region are rare, as the Independent points out. Recently, though, Venture Plus AG and Kristall Spaces announced the 2020 holiday apartments in Kühtai, Austria’s highest resort.
The 2020 Apartments, named after Kühtai’s height above sea-level, are due to be completed this autumn. Located in the centre of Kühtai, these will be luxury ski-in, ski-out apartments, designed by a leading Austrian architect, with prices ranging from €286,000 to €641,500, which will get you respectively a two-bedroom ground-floor apartment and a spacious three-bedroom penthouse.
Whatever apartment you choose, though, the luxury will be at the highest level, with under-heated Swiss parquet floors and traditional furnishings. Cosmopolitan standards are represented by Hans Grohe, Miele and Siemans designs in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as smart TV and wireless LAN. You can gaze at Kühtai’s spectacular scenery through triple-glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows.
If you’re looking for great investment properties for sale in Austria Europe, and they don’t come in a much more perfect setting than Kühtai. Just 35 minutes from Innsbruck airport, it’s high in the mountains above the Ötztal valley, and at 2020 metres its higher pistes have snow almost year-round.
Kühtai’s investment in tourism includes a planned 100MB Wi-Fi system, and the resort has won many awards, including the SkipassIndex for 2013/2014 and the ADAC best value-for-money ski destination in Europe.
The opportunity to invest in holiday property in a top Austrian resort is rare, since there are tight restrictions of the kind of new build that Venture Plus AG and Kristall Spaces have gained permission for. Yet that doesn’t make it an expensive option. The Financial Times points out that, although “As Alpine locations go, Austria offers everything a buyer could ask for,” prices have remained considerably lower than France or Switzerland.
At 2020 metres, there’s plenty of snow to ensure Kühtai’s winter sports season starts early and finishes late, and there’s plenty to do in the summer among the glorious Alpine scenery, so apartments will be in demand all year. Owners have nothing to do, since Kristall Spaces liaise with top tour operators to find rentals, as well as managing the apartments.
“Austria offers the same quality of skiing in high-altitude resorts as in the French Alps, but properties are 50% cheaper,” according to ThisIsMoney.co.uk. Annual capital growth rates are strong, suggesting appreciation in value as well as strong rental returns.
