Landscaping And Exterior Remodeling Yield Property Value Increase

Finding Remodeling Solutions That Pay Off
While there are some exceptional interior remodeling solutions available, often the most exciting and valuable may just be of the exterior variety. You’ve heard the saying “you can’t tell a book by its cover”. This is true. But you can increase sales of a given book by giving it a good cover, that is landscaping, tree trimming, etc.

Look at it this way: a blank cover with centered words in the middle and the author’s name—but nothing else—likely won’t sell unless the book has already been established as a classic. Until then, people want some imagination fodder. They want something to get their mind going on the possibilities of what lies within.

What book are you more likely to buy; one with a picture of a buxom lass being saved from some evil creature by a sci-fi knight representing the epitome of man, or some picture of stars and nebulae? Most will be more drawn in by the former. Using this strategy, you can buff up property value in a cost-effective way.

The front and back yards of your home are like the front and back covers of a book. In the front, you want a manicured garden, a good paint job, gates, a walkway, perhaps some chairs outlining the front door—rockers are ideal in many regions. The lawn must be green as spring, and should be freshly mowed. The path must be swept.

The “Back Nine”
It’s nice if there’s a pathway around the house to the back, and if that pathway is either made of stepping stones or finely manicured grasses. You’re likely going to do better with a lawn, and it’s more affordable—you’ve just got to maintain it. For that, you’re going to want a sprinkler system.

According to AutoLawnSprinkler.com, specialists in sprinkler systems installation, “Utilizing the latest technology and state of the art equipment, Automatic Lawn Sprinkler Corporation installs the finest automatic lawn sprinkler systems available.” If the sprinklers automatically water the grass, you diminish the risk of forgetting. When your sprinklers stop working, find a company that specializes in sprinkler repairs.

Trees are also a great addition, and can give your property the kind of aesthetic often associated with an estate. This is especially true if you’ve got a few well-bought benches near the trees and some flowers planted nearby. Woodchips surrounding the trees and flowers have a nice aesthetic as well.

The Pergola Play

When you finally get to the primary portion of the backyard, you’ll find some of the finest backyard trends include coverings where company can be entertained. This is because the weather won’t always cooperate with your manicured grounds. Sometimes it’s too windy, sunny, rainy, or snowy for your tastes. That’s where pergolas come in.

When looking for outdoor pergola builders in NJ, you can find some excellent solutions at DeckRemodlers.com; according to the site: “…the Equinox Louvered Pergola was designed for homeowners that have a passion for entertaining outdoors. With the touch of a remote, the Equinox Pergola can open completely, allowing full sun and breeze.”

Not only is a pergola actually functional, but it’s very impressive when showing a home, and yet another cost-effective way of adding value to a property. When it comes to upgrades, you’re a property VAR, or Value-Added Reseller. What VARs do is take existing products, upgrade them into some turnkey solution, then sell them at a markup.

You can do the same with your home through a few simple innovations. Maximize what is at your fingertips, and you can really upgrade your grounds. Trees, lawns, sprinklers and pergolas provide convenience, aesthetic, utility, and very real value.
