Azure, the Upper East Side’s newest luxury residential development, recently hosted a book launch event for Soleil Moon Frye, best known for her years as Punky Brewster in the 1980s. The event was attended by more than 100 Divalysscious Moms.
It was held in 26CD, a 3,000 ft.² four-bedroom, four and half bathroom home currently on the market for $4.2 5 million. During the event, Moon Frye talked about her journey as a mom and signed copies of her new book, "Happy Chaos." She also shared anecdotes from her life, including her experiences of motherhood.
Moon Frye said "I remember seeing other moms use one hand to open a stroller and 20 minutes later I was still fighting with the thing. That's when I turned to the wonderful world of social media and the many people who help me write this book. They gave me advice on how to deal with the chaotic moment in life, providing tidbits of advice I couldn't find in books."
She also spoke about the importance of balancing a career with motherhood, noting that a happy mom in turn creates a happy child saying, "If working makes you happy then keep working, but remember that balance is important and when you do plan time with your children, put away the cell phone and be there."
Lyss Stern, founder of Divalysscious Moms later remarked "This event was such a success. Soleil provided all moms with great tips and the space provided by Azure was perfect. We had plenty of space to mingle and for Soleil to speak-not to mention the homes were incredible."
