Connected Investors consolidates investment funding with new platform

By Mike Wheatley | September 24, 2015

Connected Investors, the popular real estate investing networking, has just unveiled the country's first centralized real estate investment funding platform at CiX.com. The platform brings together a network of asset-based lenders that investors can submit proposals to in order to get the best possible terms on their loans.

CiX.com

Ross Hamilton, founder and CEO of Connected Investors, said CiX.com is designed to serve the growing number of hedge funds, hard money companies, private lenders and real estate crowdfunding portals that are looking to invest capital into real estate. As such, the platform should be an “invaluable tool” for these lenders to attract the right kind of borrower to ensure a profitable return on their investments, Hamilton said.

One of the problems CiX.com is aiming to fix is that there's been a dearth of adequate funding sources available for investors ever since last decade's market crash. These problems have only been compounded by new regulations like the Dodd-Frank Act. That's where CiX.com comes in, because all borrowers have to do is login to the site, answer a few questions about their projects and funding requests, and their inquiry is sent directly to lenders who're focused on this kind of investment project.

CiX.com's asset-based lenders are interested in all kinds of real estate projects, from “fix and flip” properties to multi-million dollar commercial deals. The site relies on a unique algorithm that aims to match loan applicants with the perfect lender, streamlining the entire process for both lender and borrower.

The platform has already secured the attention of several big players in the online investment capital marketplace, most notably RealtyMogul.com. The platform “fills a critical gap in the marketplace connecting alternative capital resources to real estate investors,” explained RealtyMogul.com's CEO Jilliene Helman.

The launch of CiX.com comes just weeks after Connected Investors launched an alternative real estate investment platform that's focused on crowdfunding.
