Five tricks for upping the value of an older home

Before placing your home up for sale you may want to make some simple repairs and changes. Not only can this help it sell faster, but can also increase the value, giving you more money. If you have an older home there are many changes you can make to have it feel newer and improve the value. Here are five you don’t want to miss out on.

Improve Curb Appeal

Your home's front entry is the focal point. Painting it the door a new color or changing out the fixtures on it will provide an overall updated look. Make sure to keep your front yard looking fresh and vibrant. Mowing the lawn, planting colorful new plants, and making sure existing plants are not overgrown are just a few ways to spruce up the exterior.
