The housing market in Dallas has long been one of the country's hottest, thanks to the city's status as one of the best and most affordable places in which to live.
Indeed, Dallas recently ranked as America's fourth-hottest housing market in a list compiled by Realtor.com, the website of the National Association of Realtors. Dallas was chosen due to it receiving between 1.8 and 3.6 times the number of views per listing as the national average. In addition, it also saw its inventory shift more than a month quicker than the rest of the country.
In a separate report by RentRange, Dallas was ranked as the third best area in the country for getting a return on your rental investment. The DFW metro area apparently benefits from increased job growth combined with rising home prices and limited inventory, a combination that spells good news for investors.
