By Mike Wheatley | June 7, 2017

Home remodeling and design platform Houzz Inc. is launching a new trade program that allows industry professionals the chance to profit by purchasing and recommending products from its Houzz Marketplace.

The Houzz Marketplace is a one stop shop for house remodeling projects and custom home builds, with items ranging from bathtubs and fixtures to furniture and décor products. The new Houzz Trade Program is open to all home improvement industry professionals, such as architects, contractors and designers. The program is also integrated with existing tools from Houzz, like Sketch and ideabooks.

“We’re incredibly excited to give our 1.5 million-strong professional community the opportunity to increase both profit and client satisfaction through the Houzz Trade Program,” said Liza Hausman, vice president of Industry Marketing for Houzz. “This program is the latest tool we’ve developed to benefit our incredible pro community, and continues to make the process of renovation and design more productive, profitable and fun for everyone involved.”

The company highlighted some of the main benefits for professionals who join the Houzz Trade Program, including trade-only pricing that provides discounts of up to 50 percent on products in the Marketplace. Users can also earn

credit on regular priced items they purchase.

There’s also the chance to earn up to ten percent in credit when buying any one of the 8 million retail-priced products it offers. There’s also a dedicated support team in place to help facilitate and expedite orders, and free shipping for most trade-discounted orders over $49.

Members of several industry trade professions, including the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and the Interior Design Society (IDS), have all been pre-approved to join the program.
