InsideMaps delivers affordable 3D walkthroughs to real estate listings

By Mike Wheatley | October 25, 2017

3D tour and floor plan provider InsideMaps is introducing a new feature called InsideMaps Video Walkthroughs. The new feature is available to listing agents for under $100, and provides buyers with a quick sense of the features and layout of a home.

Agents must create the walkthroughs themselves, but this is made easier with the free InsideMaps application and the 360 HERO Rotor camera, which retails on Amazon for just $189. With the camera, agents just take shots of inside the home, then scan their listings with a few clicks. InsideMaps does the rest, creating a professional looking 60-second video walkthrough of the home, a 3D tour and a 2D floor plan.

“Real estate agents have asked us for a way to create a sit-back 3D tour experience with a single click. With  Video Walkthroughs, we are packaging up our 3D Tours to make listings shine in a polished video production,“ said Gabe Knox, VP of Sales at InsideMaps.

InsideMaps reckons its video walkthroughs deliver a “wow” factor, are attention-grabbing, and can be uploaded to social media platforms directly from the app. The company claims that the videos have a big impact on traffic to listings, as sites like Zillow and Facebook these days tend to place more importance on listings with videos.

“Agents get excited when they see our videos as they are a great way to grow their brand through social media interest,” Knox continued. “The video window is the most prominently featured viewing area on Zillow’s listing pages and premium subscribers can upload the InsideMaps content in place of videos required to be captured through the Zillow App. Agents realize that promoting their listings with pro-quality videos, like our Video Walkthroughs, has a high ROI for the listing and for the agent.”
