Most renters are eying homeownership

Most renters are keen to own a home at the earliest available opportunity, according to a new study laid out by According to them, some 32 percent of renters are thinking to buy a home within the next two years, while 89 percent believe that owning a home is a fundamental aspect of the American Dream.

The results of’s analysis of data from comScore seems to agree with an opinion piece by’s chief economist Jonathan Smoke, who argues that millenials are no different from other generations when it comes to the idea of buying a home.

Indeed, the data shows that 65 percent of millenials aged between 21 and 34 looked at apps or websites related to real estate in August.
