Re/Max North Illinois Real Estate Network recently named Ron Ewing of Re/Max Horizon, Elgin, Illinois as broker/owner of the year for 2010. Ewing received the award at the 34th annual Re/Max North Illinois awards ceremony. In order to be eligible for this award brokers/owners have to recruit top-quality agents, and ensure their offices show steady growth, enabling them to have a commanding share of the market. In addition they must actively participate in real estate industry events and charitable events.
Ron Ewing Re/Max Horizon
Ewing joined the Re/Max North Illinois network in 2002, and since then has consistently displayed an in-depth knowledge of the residential real estate business. He is known for his tenacity in working through tough markets and his ability to close tough deals. Ewing has always shown a great deal of willingness to share this knowledge with others and has good leadership qualities.
Ron Ewing first entered the real estate industry as a sales agent. He immediately became affiliated with Re/Max, and as a lifelong resident of Elgin has impressive local knowledge. When the previous owner of Re/Max Horizon retired in 2008, Ewing took over as broker/owner before arranging a consolidation with another nearby Re/Max office. It was this consolidation that helped Re/Max Horizon grow so successfully and obtain the lion’s share of the market in Elgin. The office has 28 agents and closes an impressive 24% of transactions within Elgin.
Before Ewing became a broker/owner he was active within the Re/Max organisation and served on the Re/Max Northern Illinois Sales Advisory Council as a representative and board member. The Re/Max Northern Illinois network has 110 individually owned and operated Re/Max offices and 2300 sales associates. The network is part of Re/Max LLC which is a global operation covering 83 countries with 90,000 sales associates.
