Columbia South Carolina's Brad Aull: Taking Stress Out of the Transaction

These words of praise are for Columbia, S.C., real estate agent Brad Aull and are just a small sampling of the glowing reviews his clients have sent his way. Aull's marketing strategy isn't complex, gimmicky or even high-tech. Instead, his mission is time-tested and straightforward: whether buying or selling, offer clients the kind of real estate experience that leaves them feeling happy, stress-free and positive about their move.

It's a simple prescription for growing his business that appears to be paying off. Chalking up 24 successful sales over the past 12 months, Aull is a multi-million dollar producer who was named Agent of the Year in 2015 and 2016 at his former brokerage, ColumbiaLand Realty, before making the move to the Keller Williams Columbia, SC market center in February 2017. Aull was also honored as top real estate agent in Columbia for 2015 through a contest hosted by Choice Home Warranty. Aull was able to garner nearly one-third of the total votes as one out of a field of 15 well-qualified candidates.

Aull's stomping grounds, Columbia, is the state capital and also home to the University of South Carolina. Locally known as The Midlands, the region's housing market continues to show steady growth for both new construction and existing homes. In addition to Columbia, Aull is active in real estate in several surrounding communities, including Lexington, West Columbia, and Blythewood.

While good old-fashioned face-to-face and phone communications appear to be the foundation for Aull's real estate success, he is also savvy enough to realize that today's homebuyer is likely to start his or her search online.

An online presence is a must. But keeping up with every real estate property search website and social media platform can be an endless task. Instead of spreading himself too thin, Aull seems to have concentrated on building a strong reputation across high-traffic consumer sites like Zillow and Trulia, coupled with actively posting on Twitter and Facebook. Of course, Aull also maintains his own website through his brokerage and maintains a professional presence on other sites, such as LinkedIn and His online marketing strategy appears to be paying off and Aull is able to point to his status as being among the top 1 percent of all agents on Trulia.

Along with keeping clients happy so he can enjoy repeat business and referrals, Aull has taken a hands-on approach to generating new business. A part of that includes taking an active role in the communities he hopes to serve. He has been active on the Lexington County Board of Zoning Appeals, and also as a South Carolina notary public, among other activities.
