Charlotte, North Carolina’s SunCap has announced the development of a 270,400 square foot industrial facility in Duncan, SC on a plot of 29.56 acres. According to the news from the NC-based development firm, this most recent project is part of a growing industrial movement in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson market.
The new facility will be strategically located in between Tyger River Drive and Howell Road at the already buzzing Hillside Industrial Park located just off Interstate 85 in Duncan. The plans from SunCap reveal 59 off-dock trailer spaces, 315 employee parking spaces, 32’ clear heights and overall dimensions of 260’ x 1040’. Derek Mathis, SunCap senior vice president, made this statement via the firm’s press release:
“This infill site was selected based on its proximity to Interstate 85, as well as BMW and the inland port in Greer. Given the region’s economic drivers, we have a high degree of confidence in the continued performance of the Spartanburg industrial market and look forward to bringing this exciting project out of the ground.”
As to location, SunCap says a combination of building features and location will make the new facility ideal for a wide range of uses, from manufacturing to distribution. SunCap has also announced the property will be open for build-to-suit proposals until spec construction begins in 2019.
