Zha Zha Gabor is one of the most interesting and enduring of the legends from Hollywood's golden age. Just recently the vivacious and ever upbeat star of over 30 films grappled with almost certain death, only to prevail again. Hip replacement surgery for Zha Zha turned deadly as she developed blood clots which led to other complications. Ever resilient as she is, the soon to be 94 year old actress fooled everyone again. Now the news comes she is selling her beautiful Bel Air mansion for an estimated $28 million.
While some reporters seem enthralled by the big price tag on Zha Zha's home, anyone who has studied the lady knows that price tag is peanuts compared to a lifetime of traveling in the midst of Hollywood's and the world's most powerful people. Zha Zha probably spent more than that on shoes in her lifetime. Still, the sale of such lavish accommodations is news for those to whom such luxury is uncommon, or those fixated on money. But Zha Zha was always about a lot more than the green stuff. The lovely Hungarian lady who came to be known by simply Zha Zha was the star of such films as Moulin Rouge and Orson Welles' Touch of Evil.
Posessed of an immutable sense of humor, almost humility but not quite, anyone who lived and loved like Zha Zha should not be thought of or reported on simply along with a price tag on a house, or even medical predicaments. And as an ordinary, and extraordinary person, just making it to 93 and a half is some feat. But without further agrandizement of Zha Zha, even she might blush in a real estate report, here are some images we found of her lovely home. Some lucky buyer will no doubt have as many years of enjoyment as the lovely star did here.
Zha Zha we wish you a speedy recovery and always only the best.
