Ho! Ho! Ho! Zillow has just shown that it has a sense of humor after listing Santa Claus’ home on its real estate listings site.
The company has added an off-market listing called “Santa Claus’ North Pole house” in what is almost certainly a tongue-in-cheek posting – after all, no one has actually sighted any homes in the location Zillow claims it’s at.
Still, the listing goes on to describe the property as being “steeped in Old World charm”, and says it’s a “toy-lover’s paradise nestled on 25 idyllic acres at the North Pole – perfect for spirited reindeer games.” The listing even includes a map that shows where the property is supposedly located, though we admit we haven’t actually gone there to check for ourselves.
The kitchen is especially impressive, with an oven that comes with “12 different cookie settings”.
However, it doesn’t come cheap if you want to cozy up in Santa’s crib – Zillow provides a “Zestimate”, or a price estimate for the listing, of $656,957, or alternately if you wish to rent you’ll have to stump up $3,300 a month.
Explaining the rather expensive price tag, Zillow said that Santas’ home is comparable with other homes in “remote locations”, but added that this one also comes with a “Santa premium”.
