More than a few sellers have employed 'creative' sales tactics over the years to try and sell a home. Last year, one 16,000 square-foot Dallas mansion owner offered to throw in a free 2015 Bentley to the real estate agent or broker who could find a buyer for the home, in addition to their regular commission.
Now, a California-based seller is taking a similar approach. Forbes reports that the Carmel, California homeowner is looking to sell an $3.1999 million home that comes with environmentally-friendly features like solar-power and water and air filtration systems, plus radiant heat and an outdoor fire put, three-car garage with two electric charging stations.
Best of all though, the owner is throwing in a free Tesla Model S as part of the deal, which means the buyer will be able to make the most of those charging stations. The Tesla Model S is no small change – depending on what features you choose, it can cost almost $100,000 when bought brand new from a dealer.
Here's a more detailed description from the listing:
“This newly constructed Carmel home, with beautiful views of Fish Ranch and Carmel Highlands, contains 4000+ sq. ft. of living space. Exceptional craftsmanship throughout; no detail was overlooked. This 4 bedroom (or 3 bed + office), 3 bath home includes an exercise room and home theater/entertainment room. This home is perfect for entertaining and hosting large gatherings. The oversized kitchen is complete with Quartzite countertops, two sinks, a water filtration system, and instant hot water. This home has all the extras: Radiant heat (in the showers as well), solar, large interior fireplace, on demand hot water, water purification system, Zehnder air purifying system, extra water credits (possibility of a small pool), central vacuum system, two electric charging stations in an oversized 3 car garage, exterior fire pit and two large, exterior fountains and much more. The location and gated entry of this home offers desired privacy, along with convenience.”
So, if you're an environmentally-conscious kind of buyer, the offer of a free Tesla Model S might well just swing the deal.
It's easy to spot. There is a TESLA flag fluttering in front of the property, which is located just down the street from the Carmel Mission.
