Jason Waugh
Bert Waugh, Jr., Broker/Owner and President of Prudential Northwest Properties in Portland, Oregon , has announced that Jason Waugh, J.D., Principal Broker and CEO of the company has been named President of the company, while Waugh Jr., will assume the role of Chairman of the Board.
Bert Waugh had this to say about the announcement:
"As a business owner and father, I couldn't be more proud. Since he started with the company six years ago, Jason has consistently assumed greater operational responsibilities and earned the respect of community and industry leaders. I'm confident Prudential Northwest Properties will thrive under his direction."
Jason Waugh replied by saying "I am honored to accept responsibility and very excited about playing a role in leading this great team to new heights. My dad has always said to me, ‘Surround yourself with people that are more talented and better venue, and you will be successful.’ I am surrounded by that talent today, so I am in a very fortunate position."
Bert Waugh will continue to be active in the growth and development of his core companies which include Prudential Northwest Properties, Columbia Mortgage and Broker Tec Systems. Bert will also continue to support the non-profit organisation, Transitional Youth, which he founded in 1991 to help local homeless and at risk youths. His association with the local real estate industry began in 1981 when he joined Stan Wiley Inc. Realtors. He became president in 1991 and owner in 1994. By 1998 he hadacquired the Prudential Northwest Properties Brokerage which had been founded in 1948, and merged the two companies.
