The Trump Tower Manila is to be developed by Century City Development Corporation at a cost of US$150 million, say reports. Century City Development Corporation is a member of the Filipino real estate firm, Century Properties, and will develop the Trump Tower using the name and mark under license from New York-based Trump.
The skyscraper will be one of the Philippines highest at 250 meters, situated in the Century City zone, a mixed use development area in the Philippine's economic center of Makati City. Donald J Trump is quoted as saying "Century Properties Group is a fantastic developer. Trump Tower Manila will be spectacular and there will be nothing like it in the Philippines or beyond. This will be one of the most significant buildings anywhere in Asia."
Robbie R Antonio, Century Properties Managing Director and the project manager for Trump Tower Manila, said he thinks now is the perfect time to launch this project, as it is a sign of the country's progress and "readiness to compete on the world stage." He points out that there is an enormous amount of wealth in the region. A recent Century project, the Milano Residences, sold out just six months after it was officially launched in January, something seen as a hugely positive sign for developers of luxury residential properties in the country.
Trump Tower Manila will feature a triple height lobby, a fine dining restaurant on the ground floor, and a business center, library, lounge and video room on the third floor. The views from the 29th and 30th floors are expected to be spectacular, and residents will be able to enjoy views of Makati while enjoying the fitness center, yoga studio, spa, Sunday, lap pool and juice bar. The tower will have just 220 units ranging from 613 ft.² to around 4574 ft.², and they are to be offered at competitive market prices.
The project will be 100% owned and developed by Century Properties, who have over 25 years of experience in the real estate market. Century City is their flagship development, and is a 3.4 ha property comprising of luxury residential towers, offices and retail center and a medical IT building.
