Zillow expands its Zillow Offers program to Atlanta

By Mike Wheatley | July 19, 2018

Online real estate listings giant Zillow says homeowners in Atlanta will soon be able to sell their homes to it directly, in an expansion of its popular Zillow Offers program.

Zillow Offers, which is currently available in Las Vegas and Phoenix, allows sellers to request an offer on their home with the click of a button, rather than waiting for a private buyer to make an offer the traditional way. Once an offer has been requested, Zillow guarantees to respond within two business days, with no obligation on the seller’s part to accept it.

"Sellers love Zillow Offers, because it's a service that offers them more control and convenience – and less stress – when they sell their homes," said Zillow Brand President Jeremy Wacksman. "Zillow has delivered that to sellers in our first two markets, and we're excited to expand into Atlanta. Once we launch the program in the fall, we will be able to provide Atlanta-area homeowners with more choices, greater control, certainty about price, and transparency when it comes to selling their home - whether they take a cash offer or sell traditionally with a Premier Agent."

Just like it’s done in Las Vegas and Phoenix, Zillow will partner with local brokerages and agents in Atlanta by providing them with seller lead opportunities. What this means is that real estate agents will be given the opportunity to connect with sellers who requested an offer from Zillow but later declined the offer.

"Consumers expect an experience tailored to their unique circumstances, especially when it's as significant as selling their home," said Craig McClelland, Vice President and COO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers, on of Zillow’s new Atlanta partners. "Zillow Offers gives consumers more choice, control and transparency with less stress and hassle, while providing local agents more opportunities to connect with consumers. We're excited to partner with Zillow on this innovative program to serve consumers in Atlanta."
