[Infographic] Real Estate SERPs: Are You Being Squeezed Out?

By Al Twitty | December 8, 2012

Just about every real estate professional reading this post will have a general idea of their website's visibility within search engine results. Most are either using, or have at least heard the term SEO, maybe even SERPs (Search engine results pages). Still, "knowing" is not always "doing", and there is in general a lot of misinformation dealing with "how come" your website gets zero traffic.

The infographic below from Reel Geeks offers insight into just how the big brands are squeezing most of you out of the results online, plus other tidbits.

    1. Great article Al. This is something that griped at me when I was an active agent. Most agents and brokers know real estate, but haven't got a clue about internet marketing and lead generation. The vast majority of industry people do not realize how the NAR, and their own brokerage franchises compete against them online and on television. Funded by dues from the same agents and brokers who are also paying fees for access to a franchise based marketing system, or for other marketing services they buy via local association channels. Agents are stuck in the middle competing against each other, and against their own association and it's subsidiaries.

      1. Thanks Donna, I've found that alot of agents are aware of marketing and lead generation, but don't have the time nor resources to
get it done. Hopefully 2013 will be a better year.
